Many years ago before the computer was invented, years before the first pyramid was made, years before the first sign of civilization was seen, the earth was just a bush land and the ocean waters were all joined in one. The world had been created millions of years before this by the all powerful Ngai, creator of everything in the universe. After the creation Ngai left the world and went back to His home in the skies. Ngai was so powerful that He had created all the animals, mountains, plants and oceans in the world by the simple word of His mouth. All this was done on a Monday morning as Ngai was taking an evening walk in the universe; He noticed the huge lump and upon closer inspection decided to bring about order in the world. He ordered the waters to join into one and they did, He ordered the water to bring forth life and the sea creatures came about. All this was done within a few hours time and Ngai then left to His home in the skies. The evil spirits were Ngai’s servants that had revolted against Him in an attempted coup. After the servants were defeated, Ngai banished them from His skies into the world below. Many years after the creation, the earth had been populated by evil spirits who had now assumed control and ownership of the land. Ngai saw all this while taking another evening walk; He used to take a walk a day through the individual planets and stars hence it had taken Him millions of years to get back to the earth. Ngai was very angry to see the evil spirits enjoying what He had created; these spirits had been His long time rival though they were weaker than Him. In His anger, Ngai chased the spirits out of the earth and before He left He made a woman. The woman looked like Ngai though there were some differences which are today known as the physical differences between men and women. The idea Ngai had was to create someone who looked like Him to scare away the evil spirits. The woman was made ca re taker of all the creation in the world; she was only answerable to Ngai. After Ngai had left, the evil spirits returned but ran away on seeing the woman- they believed Ngai had disguised Himself to catch them unawares. A few years later, an evil spirit called Wainaa noticed that the woman was not Ngai, the spirit called its colleagues to come and confirm. But still the spirits were afraid of the woman; they believed she had hidden powers. After a council meeting of all the evil spirits, they agreed to combine all their powers to block the sun which was the source of light for the woman. Once they did this they attacked the woman and locked her in a cave. The spirits were still afraid of the woman and could only keep an eye on her by covering the sun periodically so they could not be seen; these periods are what came to be known as nights. Ngai was informed of this and He came to the woman’s rescue, once again the spirits were chased out of the world but the nights remained as their combined power could not be undone. It was then that Ngai decided to create a human who looked like Him; man. Man was subordinate to woman but the spirits feared him more. They could only visit the earth at night but never attempted to touch the humans until one night when one of them pretended to be the man and conceived with the woman. A few months later a child was born but Ngai could not let the young child live; he was a child of an evil spirit. Since the woman had become attached to the child, Ngai could not take him away from the woman without using wisdom; He decided to kill him and tell the humans that they were all destined to die at one point of their life. Death was a new concept but the humans accepted it as their destiny. Since then, death has been a part of human life and we all have accepted as part of destiny. The world has not changed since it was created and the humans we see today still looked the same to the spirits back then. Up to date, the evil spirits visit cover the sun and come to see if they can harm the humans but they can never conceive with the woman again as Ngai made all of the impotent after they conceived with man. Ngai also still visits the earth though regularly nowadays to confirm that the humans are safe.

Many of the wealthy white families who owned plantations, slaves and vast material wealthy had been all but destroyed by the war. And with the dismantling of slavery, many aspects of the Souths longstanding socioeconomic arrangement began to slip away. One cannot learn everything practically during academic sessions. An organizational work environment provides its employees enough opportunities in expressing themselves. For employees it is important to self-reflect on the work that is being done by them at workplace. Learning new things every time is important and workplace provides us with many such prospects like, what I learnt in week about reflection. Writing blogs is important in organizational life. It is important for us not to stop learning at any point of time. Improvement is necessary in all fields on regular basis (Glen, Suciu Baughn, 2014). Mindset is an important aspect at workplace. Employees require having a proper mindset at workplace for the best possible results. I have learnt a proper mindset has the ability in overturning any adverse situation. The activity of the eleventh was a presentation session where I had to give a presentation on self-confidence and mind mapping. I felt a bit nervous while giving the presentation as it was the first time I was presenting a topic in public. Self-confidence has a very significant to play in success and achievements of people. I can reflect that it is one of the attributes of the most influential people irrespective of fields. I can also point out that self-confidence is important to grow and sustain in the highly competitive environment. The companies need to exhibit confidence in the abilities of their products to meet the evolving customer needs. Self-confidence comes into play when companies compete in the international market to gain the top position. The twelfth and the last activity involve use of design thinking and mind mapping in trouble shooting problems business organisations face on daily basis. Design thinking is the method commercial organisations use to make designs to counter challenges within a given period. I can reflect that design thinking in business organisations leads to adoption of innovative business strategies and ideas. I can also point out that these innovative ideas enable companies to come up with innovative and products to attract new consumer segments, which leads to generation of more profits and growth of business in the market. Self-confidence comes into play when corporate leaders like departmental heads lead their departments towards achievement of business targets. The departments require self-confidence to take decisions, make business strategies and motivate their team of subordinates. Thus, confidence is very crucial at the organisational, departmental and individual levels to achieve business goals. Conclusion: I can reflect while summarising that the twelve activities point out myriads to facts pertaining to entrepreneurship. The newly hired professionals require adapting to the market and organisational environment, a very important quality of an entrepreneur. The students in order t become successful entrepreneurs require gaining practice knowledge and enhancing their knowledge base while working. They need to develop appropriate mindset and learn to counteract challenges. Decisions making process and analytical skills are very crucial entrepreneurial attribute. An entrepreneur must comply with laws and conduct business operations ethically. Entrepreneurs should acquire the marketing skills to target appropriate customer segments to sell their products. They should arrange for funds to ensure continuous productivity. I can also reflect while concluding that entrepreneurs require being innovative and self-confident while leading their human resources through the business operations to ear n more profits. I have also learnt that self-confidence is a very important entrepreneurial attribute both at the organisational and individual levels. Marijuana A Gift From Mother Earth Essay When and where will the senseless persecutions of America’s Marijuana users end? These Marijuana smokers are typically middle class males, between the ages of 17 and 39, and one in three have no prior felony charges on their records. (HRW World Report) However, each year, hundreds of thousands of them are arrested and thrown into jail, alongside murderers, rapists, and child molesters. The â€Å"Marihuana Tax Act† was passed in August 1937, and took effect on October 1, an incident which would forever change the country. The main reason behind the ban placed upon Marijuana was the same as most other drug prohibitions – the oppression of minorities. Case in point, the first anti-drug law on record in the United States was passed in San Francisco in 1875. Opium was outlawed at that time due to concerns that Chinese immigrants who used the drug were â€Å"ruining† white women by associating with them in Opium dens. (Schaffer sec. 1) Cocaine was outlawed soon after when concerns were raised of what even newspapers of the time deemed â€Å"Negro Cocaine Fiends† or â€Å"Cocainized Niggers.† These allegations came about when African-Americans used the drug and allegedly raped and murdered white women. (Schaffer sec. 1) As a matter of fact there were no officially recorded incidents such as those that were suggested. Marijuana was outlawed to target Mexican immigrants who used the drug recreationally. According to Bureau of Narcotics Commissioner Harry J. Anslinger, Marijuana had a â€Å"violent effect on the degenerate races.† As you can see, the main reason most drugs are outlawed is not for health concerns or actual crimes related to the drug, but instead because egotistical white males got the idea that they could hurt minorities with their laws. Today, the racism continues, with drug laws that target minorities – specifically young African-American males. Although white drug users outnumber blacks by 5 to 1, and blacks only make up 13 percent of the U.S. population, over 62 percent of prisoners incarcerated for drug related charges are black. (ABC) This alarming statistic shows the blatant racism of the â€Å"War on Drugs†, which is more a war on blacks than drugs.
